My cleaner was a lovely guy named Forbes, who showed up with a car full of cleaning gear and got straight to work. He must be related to the Terminator, because he did a nine hour shift cleaning a flat that had been lived in for 12 years. He cleaned the walls, the floors, cupboards, sinks, toilet, shower, windows (inside and out), swept the ceiling, scrubbed off all wall marks, and generally tidied up the place. It wasn’t an easy job by any means, but he did it all with good cheer and hard work and I take my hat off to him–I certainly couldn’t have done it.
