Mettle Martial Arts is an independent martial arts and self defence academy based in the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. We teach a range of different combative disciplines – including Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Arnis, Eskrima, Silat, Muay Thai, and various Submission Grappling arts – through an encouraging and progressively challenging syllabus. No prior experience is required and classes cater for both men and women of all fitness levels and abilities.

Established in 2015.
We teach a blend of different martial arts disciplines, in a safe and judgement-free environment. Our purpose is to share our knowledge, continue our own growth and positively influence the lives of our students.

Business Owner
Sifu Kade is the Founder and Chief Instructor of the Mettle Martial Arts Academy. Although Kade has always been a fan of Bruce Lee and the whole Kung Fu Cinema genre, Kade only started training in the arts in 2000 after a violent and unprovoked assault left him with a broken jaw and a bruised ego. But Kade holds no regrets about the incident – as it was the catalyst that introduced him to meet Guro Nino Pilla, Guro Dan Inosanto and in turn, so many other martial artists, mentors, training partners and lifelong friends.
