History
Established in 1967.

Underground is Adelaide’s longest running salon. In 1960 Tony Caruso left Sicily bound for Australia where he quickly established himself as Adelaide’s number 1 barber/stylist at Scott’s Barber Shop in Rundle Street (now Rundle Mall) In 1967 Tony opened his own hair salon, the first men’s shop to have wash basins and branch away from ‘just the barber shop mentality’ Tony also styled hair which was something no one else did back then for Men. Business flourished from 3 chairs to 12 with personalised service and old fashioned hard work. In 1980 the Salon went Unisex and relocated further down the Mall to the current site in Rundle Mall (downstairs) opposite the iconic silver balls. Davide his son joined him in 1986. After his apprenticeship Davide made his own mark in Adelaide and overseas. After 7 years away he returned in 1999 to the business combined their skills and business acumen to re-establish Underground as the premier hair destination for Ladies and Men in South Australia.
