TruePillars operates a marketplace lending platform through which small and medium business borrowers can apply for loans and investors can bid on or purchase an investment in each loan they choose to select.

In a practical sense, that means we undertake a risk assessment on all the loan applications we receive from businesses. Those we approve are put in the TruePillars marketplace as a live auction. Once a loan is completed, we collect monthly loan repayments from the businesses and make distributions to investors according to their proportional entitlement.

Marketplace lending, sometimes referred to as peer-to-peer or P2P lending, generally describes an arrangement through which certain clients can invest money for the purpose of it being lent out, whilst other clients can obtain loans. The marketplace aspect generally involves the use of an online platform on which the loans requests are placed and can be bid on or otherwise matched to investors.

In the case of TruePillars, loans are available to Australian small and medium sized businesses, whilst investment is available to individuals, companies and trusts (including self-managed superannuation funds).
